Have you talked to your kids about Over-the-Counter (OTC) drug abuse?

Many parents are unaware that teens are abusing DXM, the active drug in many OTC cough medications. Parents can find more information at www.stopmedicineabuse.com to help them talk to their kids about the dangers of DXM.

As a licensed therapist who is also certified to work with clients with drug and alcohol problems, I know firsthand how OTC drugs have become a huge issue, especially with teens. It's important to make sure that not only teens, but parents are armed with the correct knowledge about OTC (and other) drugs.
